'Stichting tegen Kanker' prijzen 2022 voor CRIG onderzoek

CRIG

Om de 2 jaar lanceert 'Stichting tegen Kanker' een oproep voor zowel fundamentele als translationele/klinische kankeronderzoeksprojecten. In 2022 werd 22,7 miljoen euro verdeeld over 57 innovatieve en veelbelovende onderzoeksprojecten aan universiteiten en universitaire ziekenhuizen over het hele land. Alle resultaten zijn gepubliceerd op de website van 'Stichting tegen Kanker' via deze link.
CRIG teams ontvingen een aanzienlijk deel van de financiering voor de volgende projecten:

  • Prof. Nico Callewaert - 'Arming therapeutic CAR-T cells with glyco-engineered suppressors of tumor-infiltrating regulatory T cells'
  • Prof. Dirk Elewaut - 'Role of endogenous NKT ligands induced by Endoplasmic Reticulum stress in NASH-driven hepatocellular carcinoma'
  • Prof. Steven Goossens - 'Oncogenic Role of SOX11 in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia'
  • Prof. Pieter Mestdagh - 'Identifying lncRNA modulators of T-cell activation to enhance immune-checkpoint inhibition therapy'
