Research focus

Metastatic prostate cancer is a heterogeneous disease, with variable clinical outcomes depending on disease burden and hormone sensitivity. The therapeutic landscape of metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) has expanded in recent years improving overall survival. However, patient responses to these therapies remain highly variable. This research aims to characterize the molecular hallmarks of mHSPC and evaluate their potential as prognostic or predictive biomarkers to enhance precision medicine. This will be studied using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tumor tissue, molecular sequencing and machine learning.
