Research focus

Jo Van Dorpe is a molecular geneticist and pathologist. He was a PhD fellow at the Center for Human Genetics, Catholic University of Leuven, and has a profound interest in the molecular pathology of cancer. As a practicing pathologist, he has vast experience in clinical oncopathology. He is well-placed to understand the need to invest in molecular diagnostic tests, complementary to classical microscopy and immunohistochemistry, which are necessary for adequate diagnosis and patient selection for precision medicine.
