  • Prof. Geert Berx - 'ZEB1-controlled cellular plasticity: unraveling the mechanisms of breast cancer dormancy and late metastatic recurrence' (519 237 EUR)
  • Prof. Bruno De Geest (promotor) & Dr. Martijn Schuijs (co-promotor) - 'Overcoming systemic toxicity of IL-12 cancer immunotherapy by conditional activation of cell surface-bound IL-12 in the tumor microenvironment' (580 000 EUR)
  • Prof. Katleen De Preter - 'Spatial characterization of epigenetic plasticity in chemoresistant neuroblastoma tumors' (694 400 EUR)
  • Prof. Annemieke Madder (promotor) & Prof. Jan Gettemans (co-promotor) - 'Chemical editing of nanobodies: reagents for site-specific modification of proteins' (with work packages and applications in oncology) (580 000 EUR)
  • Prof. Kathleen Marchal (UGent, promotor) & Prof. Jo Van Dorpe (U(Z)Gent, co-promotor) & Dr. Johanna Bolander (Charité Berlin) - 'WSI-based digital expression profiling for the identification of spatial prognostic markers in prostate cancer' (577 900 for UGent)
  • Prof. Jean-Christophe Marine (KULeuven, promotor) & Prof. Dmitri Krysko (UGent, co-promotor) - 'Harnessing the antigen presentation potential of endothelial cells to overcome therapy resistance in melanoma.' (580 000 EUR for UGent)
  • Prof. Koen Raemdonck - 'Gene editing of CAR-T cells with innovative lipid nanoparticles and transfection performance enhancers' (446 000 EUR)
  • Prof. Ioulia Tzouvadaki - 'Biomarker-driven neuromorphic sensor platform for toxicity management in prostate cancer radiotherapy.' (717 500 EUR)
  • Prof. Brent van der Heyden (promotor) & Prof. Valerie Fonteyne & Dr. Evelien Bogaert (U(Z)Gent, co-promotors) - 'Detection and prediction of radiation-induced toxicity in patients with localized prostate cancer using multimodal data and computational methodologies (290 000 EUR)
