Peritoneal carcinomatosis
Peritoneal carcinomatosis arises when cancer cells from other tumors metastasize to the peritoneal cavity and attach to the peritoneum. The primary tumors are often located in the abdomen (stomach cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, etc.) but the tumor cells can also reach the peritoneum through the blood of lymphatic system.
