Research focus

Jo Van Dorpe diagnosed more than 10,000 cancers in the last 10 years, which makes him a leading expert in diagnostic clinical oncopathology. He was PhD fellow at the Center for Human Genetics, Catholic University of Leuven and has a profound interest in the molecular pathology of cancer. Because of his vast experience in clinical oncopathology, he is well placed to understand the need to invest in molecular diagnostic tests, complementary to classical microscopy and immunohistochemistry, and necessary for adequate diagnosis and patient selection for precision medicine.
