Research focus
My PhD project aims to provide insights into the molecular processes that drive early T cell development in humans with a focus on identifying the transcriptional regulators of lineage decisions in early thymopoiesis and to unravel the signaling networks that drive the adoption of the different cell fates. To achieve this, I’ll focus on three main objectives: using multi-omics data integration to reconstruct early gene regulatory networks, performing characterization of the most immature thymocyte subsets, and thirdly, performing spatial analysis of the cellular interactions driving differentiation of immature thymocytes.
