The 2nd CRIG industrial partnering event connected over 180 delegates from industry and academia on innovations in cancer research
On Friday 25th October 2019, CRIG successfully hosted its 2nd industrial partnering event in AuditoRium4 (Ghent). Over 90 delegates from 47 life science companies and 90 delegates from academia discussed the latest innovations in cancer research, and networked towards creating new, synergic collaborations in oncology.
The event showcased expertise from CRIG and its partners, bringing together researchers, clinicians, pharma companies, SME and many others, all with the common goal to bring better and faster results to cancer patients.
Warming up at the breakfast tables, our delegates had in-depth brainstorming on innovations, bottlenecks, needs and advances in Immuno-oncology, Clinical Trials, and AI & Precision Medicine.
Pitches from both academia and CRIG forged the 8 sessions (Immuno-oncology, Novel cancer therapies, Precision oncology, Non-invasive diagnostics cancer modelling, AI, Digital Health and big data and New players in the Belgian ecosystems and spinoff projects) of the event, which welcomed 2 keynote speakers, dr. David Gilham (vice-president research & development, Celyad) and dr. Hans Hofstraat (vice-president Philips Research).
A speed dating round facilitated face-to-face networking and allowed delegates to connect.
