Calipage Run and Foca Run for the benefit of Immuno-T by prof. Kerre raised 14 153 euro
The organizers of the 16th Calipage Run in Wetteren and the Foca Run in Oordegem decided to support the research of Prof. Tessa Kerre into cancer immunotherapy and the impact of properly informing patients and their loved ones about the disease and treatment. Their initiatives raised more than 14000 euro!
Immunotherapy is a new form of treating cancer which engages the patient's own immune system to attack and kill the cancer cells. There are different forms of immunotherapy, all of which are complex and not easy to explain. To this end, CRIG group leader Prof. Tessa Kerre developed Immuno-T, a motion comic that explains in a clear and simple way how different forms of immunotherapy work.
