Connecting expertise on implemention science: Explore the power of implementation science to create impact

Scope

This event aims to inspire health researchers to leverage implementation science in translating research findings into real-world impact.
For example, you’ve developed a vaccine and although your results show great efficacy, the target population does not want to get vaccinated. Or you’ve obtained impressive data on the importance of improving cognitive vulnerability in adolescents to prevent suicide, but don’t know how to implement these findings in a real-life setting.
Then implementation science can be your guide! Implementation science provides a framework to identify and address implementation bottlenecks in a structured manner. It offers handles to research and improve implementation processes. If you’d like to know more, please join us for short pitches -about the use of implementation science for clinical research and health applications- and ample networking opportunities on Februay 4th.

What’s in it for me?

  • Improve your project applications. Funding agencies attach great importance to impact when evaluating project applications. Therefore, they request detailed information about how the funded research will create impact. Implementation science can provide you with processes on how to apply your research results and evaluate the effect of the implementation (processes such as acceptability, implementation cost, adoption, adaptation, and sustainability of innovations).
  • Networking. Get to know researchers with an interest and/or experience in implementation science.

Registration

Please register (before 29 January at 17:00) for this Connecting Expertise event via this link and complete the text boxes about your research interest/expertise.
