Research focus

Inflammation serves as a protective mechanism, activating repair processes in response to cellular damage and stress. Tissue damage or exposure to pathogens trigger pro-inflammatory signaling pathways that induce the expression of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines in order to initiate an effective immune response.

My research project aims to investigate the role of specific inflammatory signaling pathways in different models of inflammation and inflammation-induced cancer.
