Protein production in mammalian cells

Platforms & Expertise

Available for academic and industrial partners

Description

  • We have wild type and several glyco-engineered HEK293s strains growing in serum free suspension to produce different glycoforms of therapeutic proteins. We also have a lot of experience with purifying and analyzing recombinant proteins
  • We can start from a mammalian expression vector encoding your protein of interest, or the nucleotide / amino acid sequence thereof to produce different glycoforms of a therapeutic protein + analyses of the protein and glycans using capillary electrophoresis and intact protein mass spec, or several other biophysical characterization techniques
  • Examples of study areas are: therapeutic proteins, influence of glycans on immune system, anti-cancer antibodies, etc.
  • The influence of glycans on certain pathways or effector functions is often unknown and severely underestimated. By producing different glycoforms of one protein, we can help elucidating these mechanisms. Our expression technology makes it easy to obtain large quantities of well characterized proteins.
