The 3rd CRIG industrial partnering event connected over 150 innovator in cancer research from industry and academia, on-site and online
On Friday 22nd October 2021, CRIG successfully hosted its 3rd industrial partnering event in AuditoRium4 (Ghent) and online. Over 65 delegates from 37 life science companies and 87 delegates from academia discussed the latest innovations in cancer research, and networked towards creating new, synergic collaborations in oncology.
The event showcased expertise from CRIG and its partners, bringing together researchers, clinicians, pharma companies, SME and many others, all with the common goal to bring better and faster results to cancer patients.
Warming up at the breakfast tables, our delegates had in-depth brainstorming on innovations, bottlenecks, needs and advances in Immuno-oncology, Clinical Trials, and AI & Precision Medicine.
Pitches from both academia and CRIG forged the 8 sessions (From R&D to the market: successful stories, Enabling models, clinical expertise and pediatric cancer, Start-ups and spin-offs in the pipeline, Successful bringing drug delivery to the market, Meet our experts, Digital and precision (immune-)oncology, Immuno-oncology, Novel cancer therapies, Precision oncology, Early/non-invasive diagnostics) of the event, which welcomed 3 keynote speakers, dr. Greg Friberg (vice-president medical affairs EU, Latin-America, Middle-East, Africa and Canada, Amgen), dr. Yunsi Olyslager (Director Clinical Project Scientist Oncology, Janssen Pharmaceutica) and dr. Bie Van De Vloet (Senior Director Business Development, Janssen Pharmaceutical), and dr. José Castillo (Chief Executive Officer, Quantoom Biosciences).
A speed dating round facilitated face-to-face networking and allowed delegates to connect.
