Pasta party to support the ‘Kom op tegen Kanker – 100km run’- team of prof. Pieter Van Vlierberghe

Out of gratitude for all financial support of 'Kom op tegen Kanker' that his lab has received during the past years, CRIG group leader prof. Pieter Van Vlierberghe decided to participate in their 100km run this year.

During this event, a team of 4 people run 100 km together (1 person 10 km, 1 person 20 km, 1 person 30 km, 1 person 40 km) to raise money for cancer research. Every team has to gather at least 2500 euro to be able to participate, and all proceeds of this event go directly to biomedical cancer research.

To raise money, his team organizes a pasta party on February 16 in the buildings of QBD, the life science consultancy firm of Bart Van Acker (who was named Flemish young entrepreneur of the year and is a close friend of Pieter Van Vlierberghe) in Wilrijk. All info on the flyer.

If you cannot join the pasta evening, but still feel like supporting his team, you can do this by clicking the ‘Support this team’-button on their team page or by donating on the bank account of Kom op tegen Kanker BE56 7360 3575 6688 mentioning "GIFT" (important!) and the 9-number code of their team 340064664. Such gifts of 40 euro or more per year are tax-deductible.

On behalf of prof. Van Vlierberghe and his team: thanks!
