Multiplexing immuno-assays: Meso Scale Discovery seminar

Flyer

Speaker: dr. Samantha Bleiman (Manager, Scientific Support MSD)

Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) offers a sensitive platform allowing the fast quantification of proteins that can vary over a wide range of concentrations in single and multiplex format. Protein detection is performed using Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) which offers an unique combination of sensitivity, dynamic range and convenience in several research domains ranging from Diseased focused biomarkers, Inflammation, Oncology, Toxicology, Phosphoproteins , Neuroscience, Intracellular Signaling and Apoptosis to Clinical Immunology and Downstream processing.

The seminar will include case studies in the following fields :

  • Benefits over ELISA/Western Blotting
  • Assay Development Via MSD Assay Services for Plant Systems Biology
  • Novel Assays of Inflammation, Serrology, Oncology, Metabolics and Neurodegeneration
  • Cancer Research: intracellular pathways, phosphorylation, immune-oncology
  • Biomarker Screening in Discovery through MSD Assay Services

Following the seminar, Dr Bleiman and Annelien Vanderhaeghe, Meso Scale Discovery, will be available to discuss your application areas further.
A QuickPlex SQ120 reader is placed at VIB Ghent at the Flow core Facility, managed by Gert Van Isterdael (CRIG member). MSD is happy to assist you in your assays.

  • Venue: VIB, Seminar Room Jozef Schell (V004), Technologiepark 927, 9052 GENT
