'From evidence to practice: how to close the second translational gap in oncology?' - symposium
Almost every day we hear about innovative cancer therapies, promising to bring better outcome for our patients. Unfortunately, generating evidence of benefits in clinical trials does not guarantee that valuable innovations also reach patients in daily care. There remains an important gap between the development of new interventions and their implementation in clinical practice. In this symposium we will discuss how to address this disconnect, which is commonly referred to as ‘the second translational gap’.
