Prof. Arnon Lavie and Dr. Amanda M. Schalk are affiliated with the University of Illinois and both have a background in biochemistry and structural biology. Their focus is on enzyme engineering and work on improved asparaginase variants for the treatment of various cancer types (pancreatic, AML, ALL, ...).
In this seminar, they will share their valuable scientific research and how this knowledge was used to start their own spin-off company "Enzyme by Design".
