Research focus
My research focuses on the development of a drug-screening platform able to culture and treat microtissues ex vivo of neuroblastoma and sarcoma patient samples and PDX’s. I will focus on the cell death of tumour cells and the integrity of the tumour microenvironment (including the immune cells) upon 7-day ex vivo culturing. Moreover, I will assess immune rewiring upon drug treatment in the tumour microenvironment of neuroblastoma and sarcoma tumours.
