Research focus

My research focuses on the development of computational methods to identify potential novel drug targets or genetic dependencies in various cancers. It integrates different types of omics data together with biological interactions networks and uses Graph Neural Networks to analyze these complex graph structures. This research is done in collaboration with the industry as it is performed under the Baekeland mandate which focuses on creating real-world value from the developed algorithms. Besides graphs I have a general interest in protein language models and how these could be used to accelerate the development of cancer immunotherapies such as nanobody or CAR-T design.
