Function in CRIG

Social Media & Communication Management

  • I develop and implement social media strategy for CRIG across various platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

  • I collect, co-create, and share content (posts, videos, etc.) that highlights the research, initiatives, and achievements within CRIG. I do this through social media, the website, newsletters, and other communication channels, tailored to our diverse audiences and stakeholders: researchers and healthcare professionals, institutes and partner organizations, donors and fundraisers, and patients.

  • I monitor social media and other communication channels, interact with followers, encourage engagement, and enhance the visibility of CRIG and cancer research in Ghent.

  • As part of the team, I contribute to CRIG's branding, marketing, and communication strategies, as well as initiatives aimed at reaching and collaborating with our stakeholders.

 

Event Management & Support

  • I assist in the planning and execution of events such as seminars and conferences, community building activities, public outreach events, fundraising initiatives, and events organized by partners and stakeholders.
  • In the context of events, I support in logistics, promotion, and communication.
     

Biography

With a background in marketing and communication, I have gained extensive experience across various industries, including construction, real estate and hospitality. I served as the Marketing and Communication Coordinator at engels ramen en deuren, where I coordinated multiple marketing projects. 

Prior to this, I worked as a Digital Marketer at Unibricks, focusing on graphic design, Meta Advertising and Google Advertising for real estate projects. As Marketing Coordinator at Nestia Hospitality Group, I managed marketing efforts for four hotels in Belgium, creating both digital and print campaigns and handling content creation and community management. 

Earlier roles include working as a Digital Content Creator and Community Manager at MyGuest and gaining editorial experience during internships at VRT NWS. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a postgraduate in Digital Content & Journalism.
