Research focus

Within the field of bone tumours and haematological diseases, the research focusses on radiological diagnosis, staging and therapy response monitoring. Multiparametric imaging, combining PET-CT, MRI, diffusion-weighted imaging and dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, is applied to gain in-depth insights into the tumoral (micro)environment. Point-to-point analyses between histological slides and imaging slices are performed to assess the true nature of changes as visualised on imaging. Also, artificial intelligence is applied to predict therapy response, histological response and relevant endpoints like overall survival and progression free survival.
