Experience & expertise:

Designing processes of service delivery in an oncological context in which the 'patient journey' is central. The experience of the different 'touch points' in the process by different actors is central. Using methods such as service design, design thinking and/or lean, we can look for solutions to a number of problems (such as 'scanxiety') that are identified. These methods are based on co-design and co-creation.
I am often asked as a speaker in, for example, care organizations (f.e. Zorgnet-Icuro) on management topics. We have also participated in several projects for the Belgian Health Care Knowledge Centre (KCE) and for the Welfare, Public Health, Family Support Centre. These are often policy support projects.

Current & future plans:

We are working on a project for Kom op Tegen Kanker on ‘The organization of integrated palliative care in the future’. Based on priorities on micro, meso and macro level, we want to propose an organizational model for integrated palliative care for (cancer) patients.
In another project (Optimoc), I am studying the organization of the multidisciplinary oncology consultation (MOC) with colleagues from the VUB and Prof. Melissa De Regge.
