Olivia Hendrickx Research Fund Clinical PhD 2019
The Olivia Fund wants to bridge the gap between innovative cancer research and patients, with specific attention to childhood cancers. The Fund typically support scientists investigating pediatric cancer treatments with a (preferably short term) high impact for the children and a low commercial interest. Furthermore, the Fund wants to support the collaboration between research institutes and hospitals in this research domain.
The Fund now launches a call for clinical PhD projects (deadline 31 July 2019). For this call, a maximum of 3 clinical PhD grants will be assigned to clinicians (whether or not in training), associated with a pediatric oncological center. Multiple models are possible (full time or part time PhD for graduated clinicians or clinicians in training). Maximal global budget is 75 K EUR/year, maximal duration is 4 years for full time and 6 years for part time PhDs.
You can apply for the grant by following the guidelines described in this document and submitting your proposal before 31 July 2019. The decision of the Olivia Fund will be announced 15 September 2019. Financing of the selected applications starts autumn 2019 or in the course of 2020.
