Research focus

My research focuses on developing non-viral methods for in situ CAR T cell generation using mRNA-loaded lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). Positioned at the intersection of nanomedicine and immuno-engineering, this work aims to advance next-generation cancer immunotherapies that are safer, more scalable, and more cost-effective than current viral vector-based approaches.

Biography

Evi graduated with honors in Pharmacy from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2021, where she also completed her MSc in Pharmacy. In 2024, she earned a MSc in Molecular Biomedicine with honors from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is currently a doctoral fellow in the lab of Prof. Bruno De Geest, aiming to advance CAR T cell therapies through mRNA lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technologies.
