Research focus

Photothermal therapy (PTT) is an emerging cancer treatment that is notable for its controlled and targeted nature. The objective of this treatment is to raise the temperature of the cancer cells to a cytotoxic level without causing damage to the surrounding healthy cells. Therefore, it is essential to monitor the local temperature during treatment to ensure optimal efficacy and safety.
I focus on developing hybrid nanoparticles to be employed as a nanothermometer and nanoheater.
